James Dunn (JD) Memorial Scholarship

Our father, James E. Dunn Jr., was a present loving father, brother, uncle and friend. He loved all sports, music, spending time with family, playing chess and many other things but seafood was his fav :-). When my siblings and I were younger, we lost our mother to gun violence. I was 9 years old, my sister 3 and my twin brothers 2 years old. Our grandmother and father shared custody of my siblings and I.  Our father remained active in our lives the entire time. He was always there. Our grandmother passed away from Colon Cancer as well. My siblings were only teenagers and I had just made 20. It was rough. We all developed a bond with our father and he was all we had left. When he became really sick, he always said, "I want to see my grandkids graduate". November 17, 2019, our father passed away from Colon Cancer after a long battle, at home surrounded by love, music and family. After experiencing this, my family decided we would like to help someone out as best we can in memory of our father.  Someone who has lost a loved one from cancer. To provide support in some way and let them know to keep pushing, in the name of their loved one. We are planning to do this with a scholarship, the James Dunn (JD) Memorial scholarship. Our goal is to at least provide one student with $2000 so that the scholar can at least have $500 towards their tuition quarterly. My family and I would appreciate all donations.
