Jamarko Jatra, Folk Festival

Donation protected
Project Sarangi brings you “JAMARKO JATRA” - Nepal, the biggest folk music festival in Nepal, free for all music lovers.

Started in 2016, this annual festival has hosted 4000+ attendees, 300 folk artists and 60 ethnic instruments across two years. This third JAMARKO JATRA is expected to be attended by 3500+ music enthusiasts.

The festival will showcase music, instruments and live performances from ethnic groups from all over Nepal. With resonating sounds of traditional handmade instruments, experience the musical stories of indigenous people of the Himalayas.

Project Sarangi strives to rejuvenate the essence of Sarangi, Nepali string-bow instrument, and to celebrate the rich heritage of traditional Nepalese instruments with local and international communities around the world. Support us in making JAMARKO JATRA the best musical celebration in Nepal!

Come, support, enjoy the biggest folk music festival in Nepal.

See you there!

Save the date - 24th November 2018 at Patan Museum, in the ancient royal courtyard of the Malla Kingdom.
