Jamal Williams Memorial Fund

On, June 16th my little brother Jamal was stolen from me and my family.

Due to the tragic killings of black men across the country, he became depressed and suffered a nervous breakdown. In an effort to help him cope, my family took him to Munster Hospital where we believed medical professionals would give him the help he needed. Instead, my brother's life was taken by an overzealous security guard who started shooting everywhere killing my brother. To add insult to injury the news media and police officers wrongfully accused my brother of killing a security guard before retracting the statement after they smeared his name and discovered that the hospital's security guard in fact killed his own partner.  My brother went to the hospital to get mental help. He left out in a body bag riddled with bullets. His life mattered. This fund is established to cover funeral and burial expenses, mental and grief counseling, lodging and travel for court proceedings, and to assist our family in the days to come as we continue to seek justice for Jamal.
