</div> URGENT HELP NEEDED FOR FAMILIES IN CLARENDON AFTER HURRICANE MELISSA

My name is Marcia, and I am raising £25,000 to help families in Clarendon and surrounding communities who have been devastated by Hurricane Melissa, the Category 5 storm that tore through Jamaica and left entire communities without food, water, electricity, or shelter.

For many people, Clarendon is just a place on the map.
For me, it is home.
It’s where my family lives. It’s where people I love are now sleeping in darkness, terrified, hungry, and unsure what tomorrow will bring.

I’ve spent the last few days speaking with relatives, neighbours, and community members — and the stories coming out of Clarendon are heart-breaking:
	•	Mothers boiling rainwater because there is no clean water to drink
	•	Families sleeping under leaking roofs ripped apart by the storm
	•	Elderly people going days without proper meals
	•	Children frightened, cold, and confused
	•	Entire communities cut off, with no one reaching them yet

This hurricane did not just damage buildings — it shattered lives.

 WHAT YOUR DONATION WILL DO

With your help, I will be travelling to Jamaica myself to ensure that every pound is used directly to support the people who are suffering most. Funds will go toward:
	•	Food supplies
	•	Clean water and purification tablets
	•	Toiletries and hygiene products
	•	Tarps, basic building materials, and emergency repair items
	•	Assistance for elderly and vulnerable residents
	•	School supplies and support for children affected

Every pound will make an immediate impact.

£10 can feed a child for a day.
£25 can supply a family with toiletries and water.
£50 can help repair a roof or provide emergency shelter materials.
£100 can support an entire household in crisis.

❤️ WHY THIS MATTERS

When disasters strike, rural communities like Clarendon often receive help last.
Right now, people are relying on each other, and on the kindness of strangers.

I know times are hard for everyone, but if you can give anything, even £5, it will go straight to the people who need it most. If you cannot donate, please share this fundraiser with friends, family, WhatsApp groups, and your social media. Sharing helps more than you know.

 HOPE STILL LIVES HERE

Even in the middle of destruction, the resilience of Jamaican people is shining through. They are helping each other, cooking for neighbours, and sharing whatever little they have left. But they cannot do it alone.

Together, we can bring comfort.
Together, we can bring relief.
Together, we can help Clarendon rise again.

Thank you for opening your heart. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for helping.
Every donation brings us one step closer to restoring hope.
