Jake'a been in a serious motorcycle accident, luckily he was wearing gloves, his motorcycle jacket and helmet. He has road rash on his sides and legs. Worst of all, the condition of his ankle is not known yet- most likely it is needing intensive surgery or further orthopedic assistance/therapy.
Jake's motorcycle had a stutter in the throttle which launched it when it caught traction, throwing him off his bike. When his foot hit the pavement at speed of about 45MPH it landed at an angle and broke his ankle. He went to the emergency room, has seen an orthopedic, needed to get MRI's, and is waiting to go back to find out if He needs surgery or a cast. Unfortunately his insurance is lapsed due to a malfunction in their auto payment system. He even has an email confirmation that it was set up and authorized- and also proof of first payment. Yet, they're saying it wasn't ever set up and his coverage was cancelled. The insurance has refused to make it right or even allow him to be billed for missed payments to reinstate, so there's an investigation into it as this has happened to thousands of people this year.
So needless to say medical bills are mounting. His bike is totaled. He cannot work for at least a month or two. Rent and bills obviously keep stacking up as well. Also no work or transportation for work for at least a month or two. Obviously still have bills coming in with hospital etc and normal life bills now with no way of income.
Anything you can donate will help! The money raised wil go to new transportation, therapy/surgery, rent, bills, and all medical expenses.
