Jake & Bre's daughter, Sophia

My precious son, Jake, died unexpectedly from diabetes complications. Jake was only 32 years old and thus had no insurance other than health insurance on himself, which he had been using to pay for their pregnancy bills and planned to use for the delivery. As this would have been their first child, his Bre and their unborn child, Sophia, are in need of everything one needs for a new baby, including the cost of doctor visits, the birth and looking forward into Sophia's future. Jake lived a simple life and served as a First Mate on the Mary Lou in Destin Harbor, thus most of his income came from customer tips.
I am abundantly grateful for having had the incredible privilege of 32 wonderful years with my precious Jakers. At times my heart feels crushed, but then, just as suddenly it swells with pride as I consider the godly man he became. Jake was truly an ambassador of God's love. Everyone who knew Jake agrees that when he put his arms around you and drew you in to him in his loving embrace, you FELT the LOVE; God's love. That was Jake, a pure-hearted ambassador of God's perfect love, who truly kept life simple.
Approximately five plus years ago Jake met the love of his life and she is every bit as tender-hearted as he was. This Thanksgiving he shared with us that he and Bre were expecting. They were SO excited! While home for Christmas, Jake bought a gorgeous tree and decorations. He was so looking forward to having their first family Christmas and surprising Bre with the tree and gifts when she returned home from visiting with some of her family. Sadly, Jake passed the same day Bre was to fly home, so they never enjoyed that time. All the families entered their home and saw the tree together with Bre. It's the perfect example of Jake's love for her. I trust you will agree. There was tremendous weeping upon seeing this tree as it exemplifies how Jake loved with a love pure and simple, the same way God loves them both. Jack , Bre , Johnny, and I have received so many prayers and condolences; our hearts are moved beyond measure. The prayers of our spiritual Family ARE infusing us with strength and comfort. The power of prayer is SO far beyond what most of us realize. So from the bottoms of our hearts, THANK YOU, and please keep them coming.

We will be hosting a service to celebrate Jake's life here in our home Saturday afternoon, January 13, 2018, at 2pm. Reverend Victor Wierwille will officiate. Jake spent two years studying God's Word and its application to life with Victor at S.O.W.E.R.S.: Students Of the Word Equipped and Running to Serve, so their love for one another spans eternity. Family, friends, neighbors and co-workers are welcome. Please message me for the address if you need it.
We will celebrate Jake's life here in his childhood home Saturday January 13, 2018 at 2pm. We are asking that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the go fund account for his unborn child, Sophia Jake Wilson.
At a time later to be announced, we hope to travel on the Mary Lou with some members of the Harbor Dock Fleet, where Jake served as a First Mate for years. Our desire is to return a portion of Jake's ashes to his beloved Gulf of Mexico.

Please give if it would bless you to do so.
May God Bless you all.
