Jake Schuld went to the Lebanon Hospital on Dec 14th, 2017 with pneumonia. He was then life flighted to Legacy Emmanuel Hospital in Portland, where he still remains today. Shortly after he arrived in Portland he was sedated, placed on life support, and began his battle of survival in the ICU.
Multiple antibiotics where tried and chest tubes were put in place to drain fluid from his lungs. However, Jakes condition continued to worsen. He was soon placed on ECMO, a different type of life support, and given a tracheotomy.
With nearly a month spent in the ICU, and countless prayers, Jake turned the corner. Soon he will be transfering to a rehab facility to fully regain his strength.
All donations will be going directly to Jake and his family. Funds will help pay for mounting medical bills and to support his two young daughters and family while he continues his road to recovery away from work.
