I started this campaign to assist my son and daughter in law who lost nearly everything in hurricane Florence.This is their home 'before'.
Jake and Megan Whiteman, married less than 1 year, have worked hard to realize their dream of living by the water. 45 days ago they took everything they owned and moved to the North Carolina coast.
Jake is an Army combat veteran who served in the 82nd Airborne division and spent 15 months in Afghanistan at the height of the war in conditions most of us couldn't imagine.
He and Megan are two of the hardest working, kindest and most driven young people I have ever encountered. This is devastating for them.
Myself and the rest of their families will assist as much as we are able, but I am hoping to see others contribute a small amount to be given to them to help offset their relocation and recovery expenses.

I am Jacobs mother, I live in Mckeesport PA. I will be giving all monies donated directly to Jake and Megan so they can begin the process of finding a new home and furnishing it.
