Support Tim's road to recovery

Tim has had problems with this leg for 4 years. In October, 2012 he had his first fem pop bypass. Tim went into the doctor on October 2nd, 2014 for what was suppose to be a routine checkup on his left leg. Everything seemed to be going okay. So he was very surprised to find out there were clots in his leg and he needed to have surgery. October 3rd was the beginning of his nightmare. A catherization was done the following day. He was released from the hospital 2 days later and his leg had a great pulse. 3 weeks later he felt something wasn't right with his leg. A trip to the Dr's office on the 20th of October confirmed his fear. A fem pop bypass was done the following day and it seemed to be a success. November 23rd his incision broke open. He was sent home after an emergency room visit. Next day he was in extreme pain. He was taken into the doctor and was told he had cellulitis and sepsis. He was then released on the 2nd of December. That night he experienced extreme pain in his toe. He went to his family doctor the next day and found out there was no pulse in his foot.  He was then taken by ambulance to Allen in Waterloo. A catherization was done again but he kept complaining of his toes and a  few were turning dark.  He was told it was trash foot. He was finally released from hospital and sent to a rehab facility in New Hampton.  Within 3 days his whole foot was discolored. He was then taken to Allen by ambulance and then transferred to Mayo in Rochester. He was severely dehydrated and the graph was infected with a 27x3cm pocket of infection surrounding graph. Surgery took place two days later to remove infection. The next step was to take vein from right leg and use it as an artery in left leg as a bypass.  The surgerywas nine hours and by midnight, there was no pulse in foot. A CT scan confirmed the worse. There was a blockage again. The doctor's decided that the best option for him is to have his leg amputated from the knee down. He went in for surgery Dec 24 for this procedure. He is currently still at the Mayo clinic inRochester and he has a long road of recovery ahead of him.

Tim and Marcia need help with living expenses, uncovered medical costs ie: ambulance, deductibles, items not covered by insurance and physical therapy.  Marcia is currently with Tim in Rochester and plans on staying with him until he is released.
