This page has been set up for the Red Family by an extended family member. Jairol was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Leiomyosarcoma, which is a soft tissue form of cancer. This cancer is relatively new to doctors, first case seen in 1994, and is typically seen in the elderly. He is currently testing to see what best plan of action is, though surgery will be the first and best treatment option. Specialist believe the best that can be done is maintain the cancer. The doctors also say that this type of cancer does not respond well to chemo or radiation. . . but it may be an option. They will start with surgery first then utilize experimental treatments. Jairol is a 37 year old father and husband. His children are 3, 12 & 18. His wife of 14 years Kelly, is 38. He graduated from Modesto Christian HS in 1998 and is currently residing in Modesto with his family. Because he still in the beginning stages of this process, medical visits are several times per week. They are expecting for the visits to reduce once they begin treatments in Manteca, Ca. Kelly was taken off of work by Jairol's doctor to care for her husband and take him to his appointments. This process will undoubtedly prove to be long and costly. ☆☆☆UPDATE AS OF 10/09/2017 THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT! Jairol has been placed on a specific treatment plan by a UCSF Oncologist. He will begin chemo radiation with the next several weeks. He feels good and has nothing but faith in God and the process he finds himself in.
