Jahiem's Funeral Fund

It is with deep sadness and regret that we have to announce that 17-year-old Jahiem Legister-Hall was killed in a tragic and unexpected motorcycle accident on Monday 2nd September 2019. Jahiem was bright, charismatic, charming, thoughtful and intelligent. He was supportive and kind, wise beyond his young years and had a contagious positive energy. He had an amazing spirit.
The 4FRONT Project is a youth organisation on a mission to empower young people and build peace. Over the last three years Jahiem has been a core 4FRONT member who brought endless joy, laughter and happiness into our lives. He used his experiences to try and create change in this world. He spoke about solutions to youth violence in the Houses of Parliament as part of the 4MATION Campaign. As a volunteer, he delivered workshops in primary schools to help educate the younger generation and he also completed his emergency first aid certificate. He achieved so much in his life and we are so incredibly proud of him. We have lost one of our most powerful voices and 4FRONT will never be the same again.
Words cannot describe the devastating pain of having to bury a child. His mother and father, sisters and younger brother never got a chance to say goodbye. With permission from the family, we have set up this fundraiser in order to raise the money to cover the costs of his funeral. We will also be holding a memorial on Sunday 8th September 2019, to allow those who were touched by Jahiems life to pay their respects.
Your financial donations will contribute towards various aspects of the funeral including:
- Funeral Directors’ costs
- Funeral venue
- Reception venue
- Transport for elderly members of the congregation
- Floral arrangements
We will also be accepting gifts in kind, both tangible items and support services for all those affected. Examples could include printing services for the funeral or bereavement support. We are all truly heartbroken at this time. We will do all we can to honour Jahiem and continue to build his legacy by ensuring that young people who have been affected by violence access the support they need and deserve. We want to stress the importance and the necessity of investing in our young people while they are still alive. We are calling on all of our supporters to assist us to help his family, friends and the local community at this tragic time.
