<div>This summer, our family suffered an unimaginable loss. My mother, age 76, passed away suddenly in July 2025 after a brief but devastating battle with pancreatic cancer. She was diagnosed only two months earlier, and from that moment our lives became a whirlwind of biopsies, ultrasounds, x-rays, blood tests, emergency appointments, and endless days in the hospital. I stayed by her side every day and every night, hoping for more time...but we lost her too quickly.

<div>Her passing has left our family heartbroken and struggling. We had no life insurance for her, and the medical crisis leading up to her death drained the very last of our savings.

<div>We also have not been able to afford her tombstone or the memorial she deserves.

<div> Despite applying for support, we have been unable to receive any government funding.

<div>Our family situation has added extra layers of difficulty. My father, also 76, is grieving deeply. He is retired and going deaf and blind, unable to drive or care for himself fully. I have put my life on hold and returned home to take care of him, and it is just the two of us managing the house, the bills, and the weight of this loss. I am a registered massage therapist, but I lost a significant amount of work this year while caring for my mother.

<div>The emotional and financial strain has been overwhelming. I am physically here alone, trying to hold everything together, caring for my grieving father, managing our home, and navigating my own heartbreak.

<div>My deepest hope is to give my mother the proper memorial she deserves. I want to place her tombstone as soon as possible and relieve some of the financial burden.
