Help Jaden with his Medical & Recovery Bills

Dear Friends and Family,

It is with great humility that I reach out at this critical time in my life to ask for your love and financial support. As some of you may know, my journey the last few years has been filled with a lot of challenges that culminated in nearly losing my life a couple of months ago. For those of you who don’t know my story, I’ve dealt with major depression and anxiety, as well as chronic pain, that led to severe drug addiction on and off for the last 5 years. My actions during this period were not in my best interests or the best interests of those around me, especially my friends and family.

Earlier this year and especially this summer, my anxiety, depression and drug use spiraled out of control. Nothing my family did or friends said could stop me from using more powerful and dangerous drugs to numb the pain I was in both emotionally and physically. I’m so grateful for all of the love and support I’ve received, but unfortunately the nature of my mental and physical health kept me going back for more and stronger drugs, which are unfortunately incredibly easy to get right here in downtown Boulder, CO. At my worst point, I got involved with a bad crowd and ended up addicted to benzos, got a bad “batch”, and overdosed on fentanyl. I was lucky to have angels on my side, and someone found me alone in my car, and called 911. At this point, my family took extreme measures and my dad and I went to Cancun where I did a 10 day treatment at Beond, a leading Ibogaine treatment center. It was extraordinary and life changing. I then went to the east coast to do deeper integration with a group I’d been working with called Adventure Recovery. I am happy to say that with the help of Ibogaine, and continued integration work, I have come out the other end stronger than ever before. However, I know I have to continue working hard every day to stay sober and continue moving forward in a positive way so that I can ultimately help others in their journey. In December, I will be taking an intensive nature-based course with Adventure Recovery to get certified as a recovery guide so that I can give back to this community that I know is struggling immensely right now. And my parents and I are also working on developing programs and ways to support teens and young adults. So stay tuned for much more to come and please don’t hesitate to reach out if you want to connect, or have friends or family that could be helped by hearing more about my journey.

Even though my parents have supported me in so many ways, including financially, the ibogaine treatment, medical bills and continued recovery programs have had a real impact on my family and has put me in a great deal of debt. I have been in ambulances and emergency rooms five times, as well as the ICU and multiple traditional recovery centers. I was still working until I was let go from my job earlier this summer when they closed down suddenly. And I'm sure you know the American healthcare system doesn’t seem to care if you have no job and no money. This gofundme is to help pay for the medical bills and cost of rehabilitation treatment I have accrued in the past year, as well as future certification programs, trainings and treatments to keep moving in a positive direction and be able to give back in the best way possible. Any of your support is greatly appreciated and will help me get back on my feet and keep moving in the right direction.

Please also know that all funds raised with go through my parents as beneficiaries so that they, and we as a family, take the right next steps to pay down medical bills and even more for programs going forward that aren't covered by insurance. My parents have covered a lot of the expenses, but unfortunately, all of the treatments and programs that have helped me the most aren't covered by insurance, and a portion of the medical bills that you'd think would be covered are out-of-network or being charged directly. Me and my parents just wanted to be clear around where any funds raised will be supporting.

Thank you so much for your love and support throughout my life, and I hope to see you again soon in the best version of myself.
