We're the Julian Assange Defence Committee (JADC), a grassroots solidarity group based in London. We've been holding vigils outside the Ecuadorian Embassy for nearly 7 years now, and we've been outside Belmarsh Prison recently, and also organising other #FreeAssange events in the heart of London.
We're fundraising to cover some urgent expenses for resources to raise awareness of Julian Assange's plight and campaign for his freedom.
What will your donations do?
Printing 5000 A4 double sided flyers which we will distribute (£100) Our flyer is currently being updated. We're fortunate to have our design costs donated by our designer.
3 large banners — current ones are in need of replacement. Our banners (and posters) feature in media pics globally and make a real impact as backdrops for interviews etc. (£250)
Help us hire a hall for a public meeting in London (£400)
A travel fund will help subsidize grassroots solidarity activists' travel costs to Belmarsh Prison where Julian is imprisoned (£250)
Extra funds raised will go to more poster printing and distribution.
Fundraiser will run til 31st May 2019.
