Jacobys New Eye

Donation protected
Jacoby is 10 months old, he is happy, smiling, laughing and learning from his big brother. His prognosis for a happy and healthy life is a good one.

However, Jacoby was born with something attached to the optic nerve of his right eye, (still no specific diagnosis). He cannot see out of this eye due to the mass. The mass is growing and some specialists suspect cancer. They can NOT biopsy the mass because that runs the risk of the cancer spreading to his brain, through his optic nerve.

Now he (and his parents) are facing surgery to remove his right eye in hopes to lessen the risk of cancer and it spreading. Upon completion of removal of his eye, he will have an (ocular) implant placed. Once he has healed from surgery he will need a prosthetic eye.

His mom and dad work hard, have insurance, but there is only so much insurance will cover. They may be left with huge bills, covering the 4 procedures he has already had and the upcoming surgery (eye removal and implant), then there is the cost of the prosthetic which is not covered by insurance.

Jacoby will still be capable of seeing with left eye, and can live a normal and happy life.

Anything you can donate will be helpful and appreciated.
