How does one cope with the sudden loss of a person so loved and cherished, especially with Christmas just a few days away.
Our family lost a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend yesterday. And while we are all struggling to wrap our heads around a tragedy of this magnitude, we know he is in heaven and is free.
Jacob was a young man, in the prime of his life. He worked hard and achieved so much, even overcoming those life struggles we all face at times. Jacob was a character from the moment he was born, silly and feisty and kind of a rascal. His smile was contagious and his laughter, oh, his laugh was boisterous and you couldn't help laughing right along with him. He was the kind of guy who would spend each and every free Saturday he had taking his grandparents out to lunch and making them feel so appreciated and loved. His heart was good, to the core and if you knew him, you knew this.
He was not married and did not have children, but had a girlfriend and friends that loved him hard, and a family that loved him as greatly as he loved them. And, as many young people these days, Jacob unfortunately didn't prepare for something like this and did not have life insurance of any kind. His heartbroken mother was also not prepared for such a thing and so, on behalf of my family we ask for anything you can give to help us ease this burden for her during the holidays. She will need help covering funeral costs and funds for lost wages, as she processes and grieves this loss. We want to give Jacob the send off he deserves.
