Jacob Wilson Scholarship Fund

Donation protected
In memory of my brother, Jacob, our family has organized a scholarship fund for students going into a technical trade.  Tragically, our family suffered a tremendous loss as Jacob's life was cut short at the young age of 28. Jacob was gifted with talents in many areas of technical trades.

Jacob was an inspector and hard bander in the gas and oil fields. He was a Level II inspector. His employers often called him the "Swiss Army Knife" because of all the certificates that he had earned. Additionally, Jacob was gifted in wood work, refurbishing orginal hardwood floors and creating items for the home, such as beautiful wooden cutting boards. He had aspirations of one day becoming a contractor.

Our family has longed believed in the importance of trade schools in a time when many still believe the myth that the only route to success is through a college education. My brother, who admittedly struggled in a "typical" classroom setting, excelled in the vocational programs in which he enrolled. His unique gifts in the technical trades gave him purpose, confidence, and financial success.

We would like to grant scholarships to students who possess the same talents and passion as Jacob. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to this worthy cause.
