Obituary-

PRINCEVILLE — Jacob Andrew Look of Princeville passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 4:07AM.  He was just 17.

Jacob was born on December 17, 2003 in Peoria, Illinois to his parents, Craig and Anne (Wendt) Look.  In life, he endeared himself to all those whom he met with his kindness, humor, charisma, and a beautiful smile.  He won his friends with his loyalty, compassion, and his tremendous heart.  Without any doubt, he was a bright light to the spirit, soul, and life of everyone he met.

He is survived by his parents, Craig and Anne, and one brother, Evan Look, all of Princeville; his grandmother, Doris Wendt of Janesville, WI; grandparents, Jane and Russell Look of Mapleton; many aunts and uncles, Susan Dickson of Cabot, AR, Cindi (Robert) Brandt of Lexington, Russell (Leann) Look, Jr. of South Elgin, Bradley (Clayton) Look of Glendale, CA, Andrew Look of Bartonville, and Christopher (Christine) Look of O’Fallon, MO; and cousins, Jeremy, R.J., Katrina, Sarah, Caroline, Paige, Rachel, Max, Zachary, Gabriel and Benjamin; and his dogs Gunner, and Maizy.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Wendt and his dog Lucky.

Jacob had an extraordinary enthusiasm for life, and it was a beautiful thing to witness his passion.  At 6’5” his dad called him “his gentle giant”, but his height was eclipsed by his enormous heart and capacity for love.  He loved his loud Dodge Charger, his brother’s grilled steaks, a giant bag of Goldfish crackers, buffalo chicken wings and the world’s greatest discovery—ranch dressing.  He also adored all things NBA, especially his Milwaukee Bucks.  He was inspired by Giannis Antetokounmpo’s story, his work ethic, true kindness and loyalty to family and friends.  He loved playing pickup basketball at the Kickapoo court, summer basketball with his new Paladins teammates, Mamba candy, and hanging out with his many friends.  He was always ready for adventures with his best buddies Slate, Peter and Caleb.

Most of all, because it gave him time with the people he loved most, his greatest joys were his mom’s chili dinners, movies or rocking to old school music with his dad, and visiting his brother, Evan, at college.  His parents were his heroes, and his brother was his best friend.

He was a senior at Brimfield High School where he was an eager student and actively involved, including being a member of the varsity basketball team. Jacob worked hard at everything he did and was rightfully proud of all he accomplished.

A visitation will be held at the Brimfield High School gymnasium on Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM.  A funeral service will immediately follow.  Services will be officiated by Pastor Michael Jones of St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville where Jacob was a member.

In lieu of flowers, his parents have established the Jacob Look Memorial Scholarship, and contributions can be made to his parents or at his GoFundMe page at https://gofund.me/9959a2c9.  Also, online condolences may be left for the family at www.haskellfuneral.com.
