Memorial Bench for Jake Hale

Jacob Hale was a graduate of Central Cambria School District and an active member of the PA Army National Guard, recently returning from a year-long overseas deployment.  He lost his life on July 5th, 2017 as result of an unsolved hit and run. 

Jacob was a big part of our lives and touched many hearts in our community.  We would like to chose to celebrate his life by raising money for a memorial bench to be placed at Jackson Elementary school, where his three youngest siblings, Isabelle, Ben and Josh currently attend.  Jake, along with his older sister, Sarah and best friend and brother, Michael all attended Jackson as well.

The bench would serve as a dedicated place to pause and reflect, to connect with Jake's love and spirit.  To share stories, tears, and laughter.

Jacob's 23rd birthday will be celebrated on Saturday, February 17th, and we couldn't think of a better way to honor him than by dedicating the bench and releasing balloons at the elementary school that day. 

Please help us fund this endeavor with a contribution in Jake's honor.

UPDATE:  Because of the tremendous outpouring of love and generous donations in such a short time, we have increased the goal to try to purchase TWO new benches for the school.  Any monies collected above and beyond will be put toward upgraded models or to the Humane Society in Jacob’s name.  Our hearts are enlightened by the amazing response shown by our friends and family.  It is truly a reflection of his love and huge heart.  Thank you.
