Jacob Boyd's Medical Fund
On September 9th Jacob Boyd became the victim of a traumatic hit and run accident as he was riding his bicycle from a friend’s house across the street to meet at his house. He was only .02 miles away from home when he was clipped by a vehicle as he was riding along the outskirts of a construction zone and within seconds he was plunged straight into a huge hole that had been broken up with big slabs of broken up pavement. His face was met with the big chunks as he slid from the impact. He immediately was knocked out by the impact.
His injuries were horrific. Jacob received numerous stitches to his deep head wound and especially his upper lip to have his lip reattached. He lost one of his front teeth and has to see an orthor surgeon to get splints in to try and stabilize and hopefully save any remaining teeth that were loosened and withstained trauma. After the doctor did CAT scans of his head, we also learned that he broke his maxilla (upper jaw). After the wounds heal he still has many future visits to the dentist to replace the tooth he lost and try to save those that are loose and visits to the plastic surgeon to restore his lips. Accompanying those visits are medical bills on top of the ones he already accrued for the initial incident. He has a long journey ahead of him to reach full recovery so let's show him that he is not alone and has the support of many amazing people. Jacob is by far one of the sweetest and kindhearted people I've ever met, I was so saddened that he had to endure through this painful experience. Please show Jacob the support that he needs to get him back to himself again!
