Jaclynn's Journey

A few weeks ago Jaclynn was experiencing stomach pains to the point that Michael had to bring her to the emergency room. While they were in the emergency room Jaclynn had multiple tests done. They found tumors from her ovaries to her liver to her stomach. There is an abundance of fluid inside of her abdomen which is causing a lot of her pain. They also found nodules inside of her liver & around her stomach; all of this has been declared cancerous by Jaclynn's physician. Jaclynn had ovarian cancer in March of 2017, & the doctors removed that ovary. In December 2017, Jaclynn's doctors diagnosed her with ovarian cancer again. Her remaining ovary has "stopped working" & the chemotherapy basically kills this ovary overnight.

Jaclynn has a lot to adjust to with all the medications, how chemotherapy is going to make her feel, & her lack of energy. She had a port put under her skin, to receive chemo through & it will also make IV's easier. Her first chemotherapy treatment of twenty was on December 27th, 2017. She hasn't been feeling well after receiving it & she's very tired.

Jaclynn knows what it's like to be on the supportive side of this diagnosis because her Mother has been fighting brain, thyroid, & breast cancer for about 8 years. She said the hardest part is having to tell people, especially her Mother. Jaclynn is so appreciative of her family, friends, & Michael's family who have surrounded her with love & support.
