Jackie Bryant Memorial Scholarship Fund

If your heart, like mine and others, is touched by Jackie's love, kindness, and spirit,

and you--or someone you know-- has felt the impact of her life's work in any way, we invite you to contribute to the Jaclyn "Jackie" Bryant Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Jackie inspired students-- To quote a grandmom of a student from a Title I school:

"Ms. Bryant,

Tyree was at Church Lane Elementary from 2013-2015; you inspired

him to join the school band. That was the beginning of his love for music.

He is currently attending Stevenson University and in the Marching Band;

he played trombone until now, and he is in the choir.

THANK YOU for being the person who encouraged him, referred him to the

all-county summer music program, and promoted his initial interest in music."

Jackie impacted countless lives-- To quote an HCPSS colleague:

"To everyone she met in the music community, she impacted their lives either as a musician or as a music educator. Not only was Jackie an excellent musician, but she was also incredibly caring, compassionate and thoughtful.

She was always willing to give her time to students and colleagues, which made her

an amazing music educator.

Though her career was way too short, the impact she had on the music community in Maryland is vast and immeasurable."

100% of all contributions collected here will go directly to benefit a Music Education student studying clarinet at Towson University.

Please feel free to contribute any amount you so choose, and if our $25,000 goal is not met, we will disburse scholarships with the amount we have (Ex: $8,000 could create 16 scholarships for $500 each). However, we would be remiss if we did not inform you that-- in order for the scholarship to carry on in perpetuity and not end in 5-6 years, we must pull together and achieve the goal of $25,000.

In my view, we CAN achieve this goal—the music community is one close-knit family and the kindest and most supportive group that I have ever known.

With the $25,000 goal met, the scholarship funds will be renewed EVERY YEAR and Jackie's scholarship will never end.
