Support the Jackson Middle School Choir Program.
Jackson Middle School (JMS) in Portland, Oregon, has an outstanding choral tradition. There are choirs for every grade level and an auditioned Ensemble of 7th and 8th graders. The choirs at Jackson have the opportunity to perform throughout the region. In March of 2019, our Ensemble Choir, through placement in competition, has been invited to attend and perform at the prestigious WorldStrides Heritage Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee.
Jackson choirs are well known for their diverse and top-quality performances. We need your help to continue this strong choral tradition.
The contributions provided to the JMS Choir Booster Club will help offset the cost of music, accompanists, classroom supplies, and scholarships for our students.
Did you know sheet music is over $2.00/sheet - and has to be bought for each student due to copyright laws. Robes for performances must be purchased. And buses to programs and performances also cost money. In all, 2017 cost over $4000, and prices are rising.
The Jackson Choir Booster Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID 93-1249458), and your donation is deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Also, please consider an Employer Match. Because we are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, your company or organization may contribute as part of their matching donations program. Please check with your human resources or payroll department to see if your organization participates in matching charitable donations.
As a Choir Booster Club member, your name will appear in all Concert Choir programs, which includes winter, spring, and end-of-school-year concerts, and our website.
