Jackson Deserves a Second Chance

This is Jackson. He is a very sweet 4 year old male German Shepherd cross. Jackson has had a very tough life. He was locked in a basement for the first eight months of his life, starved and beaten. We rescued Jackson and brought him to his forever home and watched him transform from a cowering whimpering dog into a beautiful happy boy. 

Then suddenly the other day things took a turn for the worse for Jackson. It was quite rapid and we noticed he was losing functionality in his hind end. We rushed him to the Veterinary Specialty Center to see what was wrong. They couldn't tell for sure what happened without an MRI so we scooped him up again and transported him a few hours away to another facility with an MRI. The photo above shows Jackson as we were transporting him. You can tell he is in such terrible pain. We found out he had a herniated disk and without emergency surgery to correct it, he would have to be put down.

His initial consultation was $1,328.61. His MRI, surgery and post operative care is estimated to be $9,335.71. 

This wonderful boy has suffered so much already and he truly deserves a second chance to enjoy a long, happy and healthy life. Please help us give him his second chance.  All funds will be used for Jackson's medical bills.
