First I would like to thank all of our friends for the unbelievable support over the years and pray that you are all healthy and maintaining your families needs without fail. God Bless you all.
Jackson Avenue Coffee is a local Charleston Illinois coffee shop offering top quality coffee and espresso drinks ranging from creamy smooth espresso shots to fraps and chai drinks as well as hot and Iced teas, sandwiches, bagels, muffins, cookies and scones.
The JAC has always taken great pride in being a place that the Charleston community considers home and a safe place that family and friends can get together and take a break.
The JAC is well known for being a place that artists display their art for everyone to enjoy.
Anyone who has visited The JAC knows that we support music and welcome people to grab an instrument from the stage area or sit down at the piano and play a tune or two. The JAC's regular schedule includes The Irish Music Circle every first and third Tuesday nights, Tuesday Board Game Night, Thursday Open Mic Night, Friday Folk Music Circle, Live music on the JAC Stage by traveling and local musicians most Saturdays and one of the most popular local AA meetings every Sunday night.
The JAC is a popular spot for meetings and Bible studies as well as celebrations and baby/wedding showers in the back room.
The JAC is looking at a challenge in front of us as we start planning on getting safely opened in small steps. We have applied for and been awarded assistance which will cover some payroll but is restricted from covering most the cost of getting opened up, like utilities operational costs and the big task of restocking all the coffee and food products we lost and will need to replace.
We are looking at about $8k to get this done and to cover the costs that continued while we were shut down and some operational expenses while we work our way back into business.
We cannot express how grateful we are for the support that has been shown to us over the years and sincerely thank everyone for any help we receive in this fundraising event. With this support we can continue to offer coffee, food, art. music and a safe meeting place for our community.
