Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce Needs Your Help

I am Kathleen L. Driscoll-Flammia the Executive Director for the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce who has had the honor of holding this position for 17 years and counting.  We are a non-profit located at the address of 18 Main Street here in Jackson, New Hampshire, our mailing address is PO Box 304, Jackson, New Hampshire 03846 and our telephone number is currently my cell phone [phone redacted].  We are an event based chamber who relies on its funding from those events which many of you have come to love as much as we do:  The Wildquack Duck Race & Music Festival, the Jackson Fireworks, the Covered Bridge Dance, the Golf Ball Drop, the America Freedom Walk in honor of all those who lost their lives during September 11, 2001 and all our Military, Police, Fire & Rescue Personnel, the Return of the Pumpkin People, the All Things Pumpkin Festival, Santa's First Visit to Jackson, the Traditional New England Christmas Tree Lighting, the Jingle Bell Chocolate Tour and our New Hampshire Sanctioned & Jackson Invitational Snow Sculpting Competition.  We have more than 80 business members whose dues are used to help keep our beloved Jackson Area in the minds of all our honored guests and visitors.


During the Covid-19 Stay Home Save Lives mandate we were not able to attain our financial income and the effects have been financially devastating.  Without having the opportunity to obtain funding from the incredible events normally run during the time of the pandemic we were not able to offset our expenses.  Like so many businesses we did our best to cut costs and shut down the office working from homes and doing what could be done from behind closed doors.  Needless to say that is not getting our vendors paid and due to the fact that we are a non-profit 501 C3 we were not eligible for any of the relief funds.  Which really put us in a hard spot.

In talking with many of our valued visitors, guests and fans from our extremely popular social media venues we learned that many of you would be interested in seeing us put up a "gofundme" page and that you would be more than willing to help out.  After much review and a unanimous Board of Director vote here we are... looking to you, our valued, locals, visitors, fans, friends and family for much needed support.  

Your support will allow us to pay all our very understanding vendors and members who have allowed us to take the time needed to make payments on things like rent, utilities, website administrative costs and other expenses that were not forgivable and need to be paid.  All money raised will be put back into the community by paying those waiting for payment of services rendered.  Thanks to all of them for working with us through this as well.

Thank you for your continued patronage... know this... our chamber maybe small, in fact, very small but it does big things and all the things it does allows for us to get to know some of you personally and now on a first name basis, visiting us at our homes and breaking bread with us... you are the soul of our business and your kindness to us during this horrific time has made all the difference to us... you are an amazing group of people who have touched a lot of our lives here in the Jackson Area of New Hampshire and we are blessed to have you in our corner.
