My name is Myrena Berry. I am trying to raise money for my brother, Jack Berry. He suffered a stroke on 1/8/25 and while in the hospital had a second stroke. His medical emergency has uncovered a whole lot of other medical conditions that will make it hard for him to go back to work soon. My brother's financial situation is not good. Like a lot of Americans, he lives paycheck to paycheck, has no money saved or emergency fund, and pays rent to a corporation who does not care if he ends up on the street from missing one month's rent. 

Other than his sisters, he has no one to rely on to help make sure he does not end up homeless. He may have some time off benefits from his employer, however it won't be enough to cover his time away from work. 

We are trying to figure out how to handle the unexpected expenses along with our own household expenditures. The money raised will help him keep his apartment while he recovers and starts inpatient rehab. I am unsure of how long his hospital stay and recovery will be. 

My brother is very quiet and keeps to himself mostly. He doesn't ask for much.
