My sister and I were out to lunch on National Macaroni & Cheese day and we found ourselves across the street from Chicago PAWS Adoption Center. Little did we know that on July 14, 2017, we'd be coming home with Jack aka Our Little Angel. It was love at first site!
Jack was surrendered to PAWS because his previous owner could no longer afford to take care of him. Jack hadn't been to the vet in almost 4 years. He had a skin infection and was malnourished. Lauren knew that Jack needed her, as much as, she needed him.
Jack fit right into our routine and fell in love with his new home. He was welcomed into our Big Fat Greek family with open arms and more love than he knew what to do with. Jack was showered with toys, treats, and all the attention he could ever need. He passed obedience school with flying colors and is now in advanced training. He loves to go to the park and play fetch with his friends, including Robey (Lauren's Best Friend's Dog)!
Lauren found out on her birthday that Jack has Mast Cell Tumor cancer. He had surgery to remove the tumor in October and recovered nicely.
Today we found out that he will need further radiation treatments. The doctor is hopeful that with radiation he will make a full recovery. Starting tomorrow, Jack will receive a CT scan and start 18 rounds of radiation. He will be put under anthesthia each time and will be spending lots of time at the Cancer Center.
Please consider donating to help Jack recieve the best possible life and treatment! Lauren loves Jack with all of her heart and has said time and time again that she will do anything for her Bubba. This is a huge financial strain on her and she would never ask for help, so I'm asking for help on her behalf. Any donation will help - no matter how small or large.
