Jackie's Fight Against Lung Cancer

My mom has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. She is an amazing person and a fighter. She starts Chemo on Tuesday and will have chemo for 3 days every three weeks. Treatments would be able to extend her life to 2 years or longer. (I am going for remission)
It is never easy getting the news that a loved one is diagnosed with Cancer. Especially when it is your mom. The wonderful person who has loved you and raised you all your life. A person who has sacrificed all her life to just make sure you have what you need. A best friend and confidant who has always been there for you. You think start thinking okay, we are going to fight this, I am going to be right there with you.
Then you find out that it is stage 4 lung caner. Your heart drops, memories of the past and what you wanted and did not do start running frantically through your head. The time that she might have with her grandchildren and with you, the time that might be stolen away. You are 2,000 miles away and feel so helpless. All you want to do is get in that car and start driving all the way to Texas to get to her and help her through this tough time.
The funds from this campaign would go my travel expenses to Texas like gas, food, hotel/car rentals, etc. It would also go to any other expenses that she would have through this process, from supplements, odds and ends to help with treatment etc. As the process starts and goes along I will add more of what might be needed.
