HELP Jack Bruchert's Brain Balance

My name is Kevin Bruchert. I’m the father of an incredible boy named Jack! Jack is currently 8 years old and in the 3rd grade. For anyone who has spent any time with Jack, you would know very quickly that he is kind hearted, outgoing, extremely energetic and a natural leader! It’s hard to miss our Jack in a crowd! Jack has a unique voice and creative mind. He dreams of being an inventor, film maker and is always talking about doing things when he grows up that will change the world!
When Jack was around 4 years old, we started to notice that he would fidget with things or complain about the ways certain clothes felt. He also had troubles following teachers instructions in his preschool. Eventually, he was kicked out of his preschool because of ‘behavior’ problems. He was never rebellious or purposefully defiant. We honestly just thought that he was an energetic 4 year old boy! As he continued in school, the issues with his focus and fidgeting continued to be more problematic. We consulted with his teachers, talked to doctors, tried different methods of discipline… but nothing seemed to make any lasting changes.
Two years ago, Jack was diagnosed with Sensory Processing Integration Disorder. Basically, Jack ‘feels’ things very intensely. Sight, smell, sound, taste, and touch all stimulate Jack’s brain in ways that are ‘heightened’ or even ‘unbearable’. He won’t eat most foods. Strong scents bother him. Certain kinds of clothing irritate him to the point where he can’t think about anything else but what he’s wearing. Sounds and images are hard to keep track of as well as the ability to follow multiple instructions. Social cues are sometimes missed. We knew that Jack had a lot going on in that incredible brain of his. With his diagnosis, we now knew what was wrong. The next step would be finding a solution that would help Jack!
We believe that after two years of searching we have found a FIX for Jack’s sensory issues… it’s called Brain Balance. Brain Balance is a program that reconnects the broken or underdeveloped pathways in your brain and gets them functioning property again. It’s a comprehensive program that combines physical and sensory exercises with cognitive skill training and healthy nutrition. After having Jack evaluated at Brain Balance, for the first time, we have a detailed breakdown of Jack’s struggles, why he is struggling, what things are effecting him and a plan for how those things can be treated and completely fixed! Brain Balance will actually get Jack’s brain to finally slow down and work the way it was meant to!
The most exciting thing about Brain Balance is that this is not a neverending treatment of a symptom. This will completely fix the root cause of his sensory issues. When Jack is done with their program, his brain with be ‘balanced’ and that change will stay with him for his whole life!
Jack’s Brain Balance program will last an intensive 6 months where he will go in for one hour 3 times a week. During these sessions, he will spend a half hour working on his sensory motor skills and the second half will be working with his cognitive abilities. It’s like a physical rehabilitation program for Jack’s brain. He will be prescribed activities he will have to do at home, as well as dietary changes. Every month we will get a progress report detailing Jack’s program and how things are working. Jack will still be in school while this is going on so it will be a lot for our little Jack to take on! As with most holistic solutions like this, Brain Balance is not covered by our health insurance. This will be much more expensive than what we can currently afford and so we are asking for your help! Jack’s 6 month program at Brain Balance will cost us $12,500. We need to pay this balance by the end of the year. We can’t do it without your help!
