Jack's Journey

Our son Jack is 4 years old. He was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 3. He has undergone surgery for his ears and tonsils as he was deaf until he was 2 1/2.
This little man is our greatest blessing and our greatest work. His heart is huge and we will learn far more from him then we can offer him in his lifetime.
Jack needs a lot of help and our days are hard to say the least. As parents you want your children to be happy, to have an easy road and to find love one day. For jack these things are very questionable. The things that are natural for most kids are not for jack, average activities like swimming, riding a bike or playing with friends are not so simple for him or us. He can't dress himself and potty training is still a battle. Simple trips to the grocery store often send him over the edge. Every day presents new and bigger challenges and requires an extreme level of patience. His daily care needs are high and expensive.
We want to get jack a service dog which cost $10,000. Jack needs hyperbaric chamber treatments (which drastically help) each one is $4,000 and he needs them 4 times a year at least. Speech therapy is $140/hour and occupational therapy is $60/hour. We are looking into alternative therapies as well, healers and shamans.
But we truly believe that with the correct help he can make huge improvements. His light shines so bright and his ability to endure is unexplainable. The problem is that all the things that help jack are very expensive.
My greatest concern in life is what will happen to my child when we are no longer around. This thought i can barely stand and it plagues me daily. This is our ask for support to offer Jack a chance to heal and to live a life that may just be slighlty easier for him. Less stress, less pain - more ease and more love. Jack will always have autism, we do not want to fix our child. We want to offer him all the tools we can to thrive.
I put a goal as i added up the treatments for his next years of life, but anything helps. These next years are crucial for Jack. Early intervention is the key with Autism. Anything is appreciated.
Much love!
