“Jack Wentworth- The Real Belt,” TV Series

“Jack Wentworth- The Real Belt,” will be a TV series that will bring awareness and education to youth regarding topics of bullying, race relations and building self-esteem.
                                                                                        Why Should You Give?
Many youth feel ashamed to let their parents and even friends know of the sometime horrific acts they are experiencing from being bullied.  As statistics shows (stopbullying.gov) over one out of five youth are being bullied in the U.S.  This includes a high 28%: of youth   in grades 6-12. A higher number of 30% of youth admitted to bullying others.  Bullying including cyber-bullying tears down the youth, which often results in youth feeling depressed, isolation and skipping school.

This upcoming TV series “Jack Wentworth- The Real Belt,” which focuses on the topics of bullying and race relations; can be a visual,     media tool to help encourage and build up youth as they watch it together with their family or teachers in school.  The educational messages can also help youth who are bullying others, see the harm they are projecting on others; and through discussions, obtain the      help they need to deter bullying behaviors. Bullying not only occurs in the United States, it also occurs throughout the world.  Your donation can have a great impact in helping to make a difference in strengthening our youth.


We need funding for the" Making of a Pilot episode" production which includes Editor, Producer, Production Team, Cast (Youth & Adults), Set-Up Crew, Props, Design, and Marketing.

*NOTE: With enhancements made to the TV Series Pilot Episode- Script, which consist of more visual video shooting, in comparison  to the speaking parts; our team was able to decrease the requested Go Fund Me original requested donation amount of $20,000 to  $10,000. We are happy that we were able to decrease the cost for Production. Thank you for your donation.

PRODUCTION GOALS: (Updates)

In 2020, the Covid 19 Pandemic was previously unforseen. This TV Series initiative was on hold. Our team hope that there is comfort, peace, and healing during this current time, and upcoming months and years. In 2021, our team has conducted more research regarding the development of this upcoming TV Series and concluded that it will cost more funding than we projected. In researching we found that a range of 30 min. episodes could easily cost between $40- $80K per episode, and some in the millions depending on the production company. In re-evaluating production fees, our team will be focusing for the remaining of 2021, specifically, in generating funds for the upcoming TV Series. Please know that we would greatly appreciate any amount donated. A update progress message will be shared every 4 months, to keep you posted.  The first audition was held in December 2018, and a second in February 2019.  plans for a third audition to be held in August 2019.

In September / October 2019- Cast and additional crew staff selected- for the Pilot production.

October, November and December 2019- production of the "Making of a Pilot Episode." 
December 2019 - Production of Pilot- One episode, also shopping to major networks for “Jack Wentworth- The Real Belt.” 

***UPDATE:  We just want to keep you updated. Our team is currently in the process of raising funds for this upcoming tv series. We are very excited about the lives that will be changed and encouraged from viewing the upcoming tv series.                                                                                          ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Karen Ward- Wilder was born in Rochester, NY.   Her writing interest heightened when she took a creative writing class at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University while pursuing a degree in Psychology.  Upon graduating, Karen have provided counseling,  and mediation services for thousands of families in the Greensboro, NC and the Rochester, NY areas.

Her passion to write continued, by writing numerous drama skits, plays and three educational books.  She enjoys intertwining her counseling and writing skills.  Karen has conducted presentations regarding her books at colleges and community events to name a few. She presented several book Give-A-Ways for middle and high school students and have appeared on numerous TV shows, newspapers,  and radio stations nationally.

While on a twelve-day educational tour with the "Students In Africa" organization to Ghana and Senegal, West Africa; Karen was inspired to write an educational drama skit;  which was performed in Ghana, West Africa by American and West African actors and       
musicians. Karen and her team are excited about the upcoming production of the TV series “Jack Wentworth- The Real Belt.”  This funding will be used for the "Making of a Pilot episode."  The team will shop for major networks to produce the entire TV series.
