Jack and Rory

Have you ever met someone who would literally give you the shirt off their back?  That was Cheryl.  She was one of the kindest people I have ever met. In the many years I have known her I never once heard her utter a negative word.  We met in Medical School,  an incredibly stressful 4 years followed and through it all Cheryl was there with a smile that could light up the room and a positive spin on whatever we were facing that day.  Not just for her friends, for everyone, especially her patients.  Cheryl not only excelled in medicine but she was a wife and a mother during it all.  Adding to and raising a young family while pursuing her goal of becoming a doctor.

Truer words were never  spoken.  On January 15,  2020 Cheryl unexpectedly passed away.  She was just starting out in the professional career that she worked so hard for.  But the real tragedy is who she left behind; her sweet boys Jack and Rory, and her husband Dave are left to pick up the pieces of a life that ended too soon.  

Cheryl was dedicated to her boys and was the  sole       breadwinner for her family while Dave took on the role of raising their boys.  They were a team and they loved and supported  each other through it all, the stress of Medical School, the moves for school and then residency, the long hours of training, sleep deprivation, chronic medical conditions, numerous surgeries and hospitalizations.  And through it all they remained positive and dedicated to each otherand their boys.  

Jack and Rory are facing the rest of their lives without their mom.  Selfishly, I am wondering how my life will change without Cheryl and the pain her little boys must be feeling is too much for me to bear.  That is why I am asking for your help.  To give Jack and Rory something special so they may feel happiness in this time of grief.  Also to help Dave with some security for the future of their family.   Anything you can give is a gift, that honors a truly beautiful human being.  Cheryl touched the hearts of everyone she met, now it is our turn to touch the hearts of her boys and show them love in return.
