Dear Everyone,
I am writing today because I believe that dreams are given to people by God so that we can carry them out, let me explain. The dream that you have in your heart I believe was God given and while God gave it to you for free, it will cost to bring that dream into reality. Behind all the hours of hard work, all the moments of uncertainty, and behind the fears that you create in your own head, there is a dream that you were intended to breathe life into and only you are capable of bringing this dream to life. I am writing today because my dream is to one day be a preacher. I know that to some it might sound stupid but I’d rather fail chasing after my dream than succeed at something that I don’t love.
There is a program that begins in August 20th and will end December 8th that will give me an opportunity to dive into everything that the Bible is about and everything that Jesus was about, but like I said, the dream is free but the cost is not. I am taking fall quarter off at the University of Washington and returning in the Winter Quarter. Everything having to do with my return back to UW during Winter quarter is figured out but the cost for the discipleship training has not been figured out. The cost will be about $4,000. If I could pay for it on my own I would do it in a heartbeat but I don’t have that type of money and neither does my family. The money would go towards paying for my housing, food, books and trip to somewhere outside the U.S. After we learn about the bible we get the opportunity to apply what we’ve learned. In the past people in the program have gone to Africa to feed people, and help their community in other ways as well. I would love to take part in this program but am unable to do it without the help of my community. I believe that this program would be an eye opener to who God is and what it truly means to walk in the love that God intended us to walk in. Anything helps and prayers are very much welcome.
