Jace: helping mom be in my hospital

Hi! My name is Jace. I know I am a little young to be asking for help, but please take a few minutes of your busy life so I can tell you something. Here's a little about me.. I am four months old. I love it when my big sisters sing to me. I like grabbing my mickey mouse rattle. I love looking up into my mom's face. I love talking with my grandma though I don't think she understands the words I use. I smile a lot and I love chin kisses and having my feet tickled by dad...and..well, I am a fighter.
I was born without a right ventricle, but I still made it into this great, beautiful world with the help of some wonderful doctors at Cleveland University's Rainbow Hospital, and of course my mom and dad.
I had an operation shortly after I was born, and another, my first open-heart surgery, a few weeks later.
I recently found out that I am going to need a new heart. This is very hard on my family.. I don't get to see my big sisters very much and dad is doing his best, working extra hard because my mom had to quit her job when I was born... I need her too much: I couldn't go to a daycare because of my condition, and when I had to go back to the hospital, I still needed her to feed and care for me...besides, no one can comfort me like being in her arms.
But now I am finding out that mom and I are going to need to move almost three hours away, so I can be close to where I can get a new heart when they can find one. This is going to be really hard on mom...she doesn't have any friends or family in Columbus and we can be there for six months or more... but I know she is strong like me. She can do without a lot, but she still needs to eat.. and maybe my family could drive down and visit me and stay at the nearby McDonald's House a weekend or two. (I hear there is one near the hospital they will be transferring to.) I would like to give her some gas cards so that she can get to a grocery or to go buy shampoo. And maybe a coffee. Mom likes coffee. It helps her with my two late night feeding tube times.
We are strong, my family and I. We are not giving up.
If you could help my mom be strong for me, I would really appreciate it. Every little bit helps.
