Meet Jeramiah Jacob, son of Mercedes an OR Tech at Staten Island University Hospital & Jacob Detective for the NYPD. This 9 year old little man is the guardian to his siblings and was just diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, at Columbia Presbyterian Children's Hospital. This is the worst news you ever want to here as a parent. I am sure we all have someone dear in our hearts but when it is your child it's truly unbearable.
"CML is a fairly slow growing leukemia, but it can also change into a fast-growing acute leukemia that is hard to treat." It is extremely rare for a young child, so we need to keep our prayers up for LITTLE JAKE.
This will not be an easy journey for the family, and Jacob will need all types of support. I ask that we all help make a difference in making Jeramiah smile, his journey has just begun and will not be simple. This will be extremely difficult on his Little Brother and Big Sister. My fellow family, friends and Brothers let’s make it happen for this little guy.
