Treblemakers California Tour

The Treblemakers are California-bound!  We are Northwestern University's only East Asian interest a cappella group, and we have been sharing our love of music with audiences on campus and beyond since 2004.  Our members hail from all around the world, and we perform music ranging from pop to R&B to vocal jazz in many languages, including Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, and English.  Two years ago, we underwent our first-ever Asia Tour, performing in venues across Hong Kong, Beijing, and Seoul.   Now, we are taking on our first-ever California Tour.  This tour is hinged on the discussion of the Asian American identity through music, an identity shared by many members of Treblemakers and many members of groups we will visit.  Over the course of eight days, we will perform at high schools, for youth choirs, and at universities throughout northern and southern California.  We will also be hosting discussions and workshops about music and Asian American identity.  Reaching this fundraising goal will make it possible for all members of our group to take this incredible and rewarding journey!  We hope that these eight days of touring can bring together people of various ages and backgrounds through a mutual appreciation for music, through shared song and shared experience.  

The tour is set to take place March 23rd to March 31st, 2018.  We would love to welcome you into our mission of promoting music and discussion of identity.  Your support will help provide an invaluable learning experience and an incredible opportunity for every member of our group.
