My mom passed away Dec 22, 2014 due to cancer. She struggled in the last years due to the cancer (lung), COPD, Lymes disease and long-term heart and back issues.
She spent her life as a nurse for 27 years at Washington County hospital helping others and had been retired living on Social Security. Due to financial difficulties, she did not have life insurance. In fact, I have had POA recently and have been trying to help in the finances due to the climbing medical bills including medical appointments and the perscriptions needed for her heart and cancer.
Upon her death, arrangements for cremation have been made but my dad has no money to pay. Since she was cremated, inlieu of flowers, we are trying to raise funds to help my dad with the costs.
Any assistance would be truly appreciated.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held January 10, 2015 at Wacohu Grange Hall, 16412 National Pike, Hagerstown, MD 21740 from 12:00 - 3:00. A short service will begin at 2:00.
