William's Warriors

Donation protected
So many of you have followed Thomas and William's journery over the past year.  Born at 26 weeks, these boys have beat the odds and continue to prove that miracles do exist.  After some bumps along the way with Thomas, they were both finally in a good place and life was beginning to look "normal" again until the unexpected happened.
One month ago, William, who scathed his prematurity without any medical or developmental concerns, was admitted to WakeMed in Raleigh after running a fever and coughing.  Two days later, he was on the ventilator, life-flighted to Duke University Medical Center, and battled his way through both lungs collapsing and an awful respiratory infection.  He was discharged last Thursday and within 24 hours of being home was showing signs of distress and fever and was re-admitted to WakeMed Saturday morning.  He was then transferred back to Duke as they were concerned with excessive fluid around his heart.  At this time they were waiting on blood cultures and last night confirmed that not only does he have pneumonia but he also has RSV. They are certain that the RSV was contracted during his stay in the PICU.  After a rough night, his medical team have decided to put him back on the ventilator.
As you can imagine, this past month has been an absolute nightmare for my brother and sister-in-law.  As they are trying to stay strong for William and his twin Thomas, they also can't forget about the burdons this is taking on them and the expenses of day-to-day living.
So many of you have already helped them both financially and spirtually, so THANK YOU for your generousity and support.  I've also received so many phone calls and messages asking how others can help, so I decided to set up this page in efforts of continuing to find ways to support Justin and Alicia.  Please do not hesitate to contact me, and thank you in advance for your love, prayers, generousity, and support.  We need a Christmas miracle for our sweet William.
