"Hand Up, not Hand Out for US Vets"

After serving our country for 25 years as an Airman (1 December official retirement), as well as watching my father, "The Crusty Proud Marine", and wife serve two plus decades as well, I have decided to put my efforts where everyone's mouth seems to be. Our veterans fight to give America the rights to reject/embrace same sex marriages, openly bash our bipartisan government leaders, bear arms, vote, question the validity of the Constitution of the United States, etc. etc... yet now that many of them have returned home physically & spiritually broken by over 20 years of taking the fight to the enemy, they need our help now more than ever.
I have decided to devote my life to being a philanthropist in support of taking care of our veterans. The Air Force taught me “Service Before Self”among other core values, and aswell-renown leadership guru and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Frances Hesselbein taught me the valuable lesson that only by serving those who are unable to help themselves, will one truly understand the value of servitude.
While it would be a much easier task to ask for a $500,000 donation from some large corporation, what I really would like is for 25,000 or so benevolent Americans (and other citizens from any other country) to stand up and pledge your support to our vets by donating $20.00 or less!
Your donations are requested in these denominations:
$17.00 (1775) to support a proud Army, Navy or Marine Corps veteran
$18.00 (1790) to support a proud Coast Guard veteran
$19.00 (1947) to support a proud Air Force veteran
$20.00 (1990) to support a Gulf War Era veteran
$20.00 to support a GWOT veteran
These funds will be used to secure housing, jobs and basic skills training for veterans in the Tampa, Florida area and move across America as the donations/funding allow us to. I am also soliciting in-kind donations of time and expertise from realtors, lawyers, educators, accountants and other social service providers as I look to establish low-cost housing, a learning &basic skills academy, job placement services, and a transportation shuttle service among other things. The time has come for action America!! Memories Pizza made $842,387 in less than a month for going on record as an establishment that refused to cater a gay wedding, and while I respect their right to choose, I would also hope that those who provided them with their fundamental right to take that stand would benefit from the same level of support and then some!
This is something that I have thought long and hard about. As a matter of fact, I am putting up $10,000 of my own money to kickstart this initiative and will open up the books to anybody who is a licensed CPA and willing to serve on the foundation's board in this capacity.
I am humbled to be a proud to be a veteran and humbled to be a servant to others. Thank you in advance for your consideration and donations. If you can’t donate, I implore you to find five friends who can commit less than $20.00 to aid the cause.
***Although I am in currently serving on active duty in the United States Air Force, this campaign is in NO WAY sponsored in part by any arm of the United States military of government. This is solely a personal cause I have taken up after decades of honorable service defending YOUR great nation.***
