Little Johnny Fund

Donation protected

Stacey and John Wethman found out in May that they were pregnant with a beautiful baby boy. All was well for most of the pregnancy, until the 34th week when doctors told them that Stacey and the baby had a condition known as IUGR (Intrauterine growth restriction) which is poor growth of a baby while in the mother's womb during pregnancy. The amount of blood flow from the umbilical cord to the baby was not sufficient enough for Little Johnny to become strong and healthy.

The doctors then wanted to run a test, called Amniocentesis, which determines the development of the lungs to see if Little Johnny was ready to be delivered. They determined it would be safer to deliver early on December 19th at 36.5 weeks rather than the planned delivery of January 5th.

On December 19th, 2014 at 12:46pm, John Michael Wethman was welcomed into the world! During the delivery there were complications with Little Johnny breathing. He had to be hooked up to a venalator and transfered to a high risk children's hospital to get treatment in the NICU where he remains. Both Stacey and John have both had to take time away from work to be at their son's bedside. The Ronald McDonald house has been gracious enough to find them housing and provide food so they can stay on campus with him. Although their insurance will cover a lot of the care Little Johnny will be receivings, with the cost of health care the parents of this little angel with have to put a lot out of pocket for his care. Any and all help is appreciated very much!
