As many of you may know, on October 10, 2017, our friend, brother, cousin, nephew,mentor, Louis "Duke" Fountain, was diagnosed with Chronic Myeliod Leukemia.
This has come as a shock to all of us but Louis and his family are doing the best they can. Louis is someone who has always been committed to serving others and he recently started a new position at DHS, as a social worker. As Louis is still on a probationary period, he does not qualify for FMLA and has already used up all of his available leave. Although we are confident that things will progressively get better and Louis will fight this fight, we are asking that you make a donation to unforeseen expenses that have been caused by this cancer. Medical expenses for things like co-pays and medication have already started to add up and Louis is facing the prospect of needing to take unpaid leave, which will be another financial burden.
Louis has two beautiful boys, Carter and Zai, who both love their dad and depend on him for physical, emotional, and financial support. Please consider if you can support this family so that Louis can focus on beating cancer. Nothing is too small and EVERYTHING is appreciated.
