My wife Gloria Layog Landry was born into extreme poverty to a single mother of six children in Pasig, Manila, Philippines.
As a small child she remembers selling plastic bags at the market to help her mom who cooked and sold food there.
Glo's estranged dad was killed when she was 5 and her mom died when she was 9 of breast cancer.
She remembers the Buena Noche "the Good night" just before Christmas, walking around seeing and smelling the food in people houses.
She remembers hearing Maligayang Pasko "Merry Christmas" and Manigong Bagong Taon "Happy or Prosperous New Year".
It was hard to hear what they said because of the grumbling of her stomach.

Her guardian would go through the discarded non sellable food items at the market for the food they ate.

Fast forward, Bruce and Gloria Landry are retired Southern Baptist North American Mission Board, Mission Service Corps Missionaries (unsalaried), retired Pastor, Active Disaster Relief workers of the Louisiana Baptist Convention trained in chaplaincy, Chainsaw, Mudout, Feeding and any other area where asked to serve Christ when not on this ongoing Philippines mission.

Humble beginning's

Gloria asked me once we retired if I would help her start a chidren's feeding program for the poor and underserved kid's in the Philippines.
As God led we did our first feeding in December of 2013 in the Baguio General Hospital Compound.
We fed 35 children and several adults and planted the seeds of our current ministry.

We returned to our field on November 15 through December 31 of 2015 in the midst od caring for my (Bruce's) father who was succumbing to Alzheimer's and did 6 feedings averaging $100 spent on each child and fed between 700 and 1000 children and partnered with 3 churches to continue the feedings each month, casting His net even farther.

We ask the churches to go out of their church building into a poorer community and feed the children bread (a meal) and to tell them the story of Jesus, the bread of life from John Chapter 6 emphasis 6:35.
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

We take no funds personally from God's Glory Pantry but do help provision our church partners.
We spent 7 months in ministry thus far this year and encouragement and now have around 12 churches we work with.
4 in San Miguel Bulacan, 2 in Pampanga, 1 in Polilio Island, 1 in Pasig, 2 in Negros Occidental, 2 in Roxas City, Capiz and 1 in Baguio City, we also feed as able in Sta. Ana, Manila, Baguio City, Mountain Province and Agoo, LaUnion.

We seek and need co-laborer's in Christ to continue this mission God Has placed on Glo's heart for the little children, we've completed over 80 feedings this year and have helped the churches in getting tables, pots and pan's and thus far have helped 3 secure vehicles needed to pick up and transport people to church.
We've additionally helped a family clean up and start to rebuild their home and life--incidentally, another hardworking single mother.

We pray you might desire to be part of this mission of hope to those in need.

We have just purchased 3 hectares to start to develop a Christian Youth Camp and are prayerfully walking forward with the hope of an orphanage to help the street children of the Philippines, over 1000000 estimated.
If you or someone you know would like to come help in doing feedings, helping do VBS' last week of May, work on the camp grounds, or just offer your services to the communities we serve, you can contact me at [email redacted].

You can also see feeding updates and needs at God's Glory Pantry on Facebook.

Gently used camping gear, tents, stoves, tarps, bath and shower shelters, port o potties or any other item you feel will be helpful or funding to purchase item's there are gratefully appreciated.

God's greatest blessings before you today and daily as we share His hope and love to those in need.
