Simon's Top Surgery

Hey all! I'm Simon, a 22 year old transman of color from Chicago. I have been out and proud since 2015, and started HRT in 2018. After coming out, I lost my family and support network and ended up living on the street. I started HRT, got a job, and got myself back off the street in 2019 just before covid hit. The pandemic has completely drained my savings account and transition funds and I no longer have credit to cover my living expenses.

Now, I am starting this fundraiser to ask for your help to move forward in my transition. I will be completing my top surgery with Dr. Daniel Medalie at Cleveland clinic in Ohio, however I am only eligible for Medicaid and this surgeon does not take insurance.

All funds raised will go towards surgical, anaesthesia, and facility fees for Medalie's practice and post-op care costs for drain removal and any inpatient fees charged by the facility. Every dollar moves me closer to being able to live as who I am and have the freedom to breathe. Your support is an incredible gift that makes a world of difference. Even if you can't donate, simply sharing my story with others means everything! To get myself in tip-top pre-op shape and to pay forward the support that you give, I will be logging volunteer hours with a local animal shelter as a dog walker for every $25 dollars raised.
