Help save our honey girl

Yesterday our beautiful honey girl had a nasty visit from an Eastern brown snake in our backyard. Unfortunately this has left her in a critical condition, fighting for her life at the Carrara Animal Emergency Service. Our girl is so brave and made it through the night after a course of anti venom, whilst she is critical we have been advised that she is stable considering the circumstances although she is not out of the woods just yet. Honey is currently receiving the most amazing care from the staff down at the Animal Emergency Service but with this unexpected tragedy comes a very high price tag. Whilst we were prepared a high price for her treatment/care we didn’t think it would be as expensive as it currently is. Her vet bill is already sitting at $5049 and counting. If all goes in our favour and our Honey gets to come home with us, she will not be able to leave hospital until she is able to eat, walk and do basic ‘dog things’ unassisted. The positive news is she responded well to the anti venom treatment, her oxygen levels and heart rate are steady and she is drinking water and urinating by herself. We know our girl is so strong and is surrounded by so much love, we just hope she can keep fighting it and can come home soon!! We would appreciate any support, have a lovely Christmas ❤️
