Restore The Exempts Museum

Donation protected
The North Plainfield Exempt Firefighters museum is a collection of the Fire Services rich history, displaying a bygone era, for education and reflection. It not only preserves the history but honors the firefighters that came before. The North Plainfield Exempt Firefighters Museum houses many historic fire service apparatus as well as equipment, historic photographs, and literature. The hall in previous years served as a place of gathering for members of the fire service and local community. The museum and exempt hall is currently under restoration due to disrepair and lack of funding. We are currently seeking volunteer efforts and funding to aide in the restoration process. The furnace in the building is no longer operational and needs replacement. The museum currently is without utilities and heat due to burst plumbing from previous years without heat. The basement has water damage and needs to be gutted and refinished. The museum is a  historical landmark of North Plainfield as well as the fire service. With your generous donations we hope continue the tradition as well as give back to the community it has given to in the many years before.
