On January 15th, our brother John went into Altus Emergency Room due to severe pain that had been bothering him for a while, only to leave in an ambulance straight to MD Anderson after hearing the very unexpected words, “you’ve got cancer”. After spending a little over a week in the hospital and numerous tests and scans, he finally received his biopsy results yesterday. He has metastatic carcinoma. It was confirmed that it originated from the renal mass (left kidney tumor) and has spread from that tumor to numerous areas of his bones. While we are optimistic and putting our full faith in the drs at MD Anderson and our ultimate healer, our Almighty God, we do know there is a long, unknown road ahead for John and Casey & their family. They won’t know exact stage or treatment plan until their first appt for in the upcoming weeks and months. But what we do know is that even during these times, day to day life still happens, bills are still due and medical bills stack up quickly! If you know John (and Casey), you know they would give their shirt off their backs to anyone. They have the biggest kind & giving hearts, and are the most selfless, and loving people you will meet. John is a very hard worker, always been a family man and takes the best care of all those that he loves. Now, he is needing OUR help and many people have reached out to all of us, asking what they can do. They are not ones to ask much less take assistance from anyone, but in hard times, we know relieving any financial burden can help ease some of the stresses that comes with this new battle they will be fighting, for the unforeseeable future. John is currently not working and it’s unknown when he will be able to return to normal day to day activity due to pain, medications and treatment plans etc. John is a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many, many people that care about him tremendously. We are appreciative of any support you are able to give. Even just encouraging words, tons of prayers and unwavering support during this time, we are all grateful beyond measure for every bit of it.
