Help Lauren fight Lyme Disease

Lauren has been fighting Lyme disease since the age of 11. For those of you who do not know, Lyme disease is an infectious disease transmitted by dear ticks that can affect any organ of the body, including the brain and nervous system, muscles and joints, and the heart. It is misdiagnosed frequently because the bacteria transferred evades the immune system by changing its outer cell walls and becoming undetectable.  Therefore the body is sending antibodies to attack something they can no longer find.  

Over the years, other symptoms and illnesses have arisen. In 2017, Lauren was diagnosed with Erythromelalgia, which is a rare condition that primarily affects the feet. It is characterized by intense, burning pain of affected extremities, severe redness (erythema), and increased skin temperature that is continuous. Her feet are swollen and have open sores that are constantly burning. She has a fan blowing on them at all times.  Lauren is also dealing with other symptoms such as cardiac, renal system, and neurological symptoms, endocrine problems, and infections that won't heal.  At this point Lauren is bedridden.


Currently Lauren and her family are at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester to get the answers they have long awaited for.  The money we raise will help go towards the numerous doctor appointments, medicine, and tests.  Alone in the past two years they have spent $28,000 on medical treatments.  This past week at the Mayo Clinic, they have already spent $15,000 and probably more once we find out what is wrong.
