Georgian Bay Furniture Bank

The Georgian Bay Furniture Bank is run as a non-profit to serve the Collingwood, Wasaga Beach, Thornbury and Stayner areas.
We provide free furniture and kitchen items to families in need . These families can be on social assistance, have lost contents due to fire or have lost furniture because of other reasons. We also offer free delivery.

We rely on community donations of furniture and kitchen items and offer a free pickup service.
Closely working with agencies such as Out of the Cold Collingwood, Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul, 211, CMHA and local food banks we get referrals of people in need.

We are trying to raise funds to pay for a new truck to tow our trailer because the old vehicle broke down.  Without a vehicle to tow our trailer we cannot pick up or deliver.

The funds will be needed by the end of December 2020. These funds will enable us to pay for a portion of the new truck and will be invaluable to those in need. We serve around 200 families and singles per year.  Without this money we are struggling to pay all the expenses involved with our Non Profit as we do not receive funding of any kind and are paying out of pocket.

We would be so grateful for all funds received as it would enable us to carry on the work we have been doing for three years in helping those in need.  We are making a difference in the community and have had many testimonials from those we have helped. We are one of the few non profits who provide this service and we have a strong desire to continue helping others. Thank you for your help.
