Surgery

About 3 months ago I "accidentally" found a knot at the base of my neck. After a plethora of tests I received the diagnosis of thyroid cancer. My surgery was scheduled for October 4th, but the day before, I was also diagnosed with covid (lucky me).  Surgery is now scheduled for October 25th at OSH. Even with insurance my out of pocket expenses are pretty steep. Needle biopsy alone was 1500 and my part of a 44 thousand dollar surgery is 1784 (not complaining as that's pretty great). They aren't working with me too much though. With the surgery being postponed I at least have some more time to save up. Never thought cancer would be a word in my vocabulary but I'm not letting it slow me down. With the great support system consisting of my family and some pretty terrific friends I'm gonna be just fine. I hate asking for help, but a VERY wise friend of mine told me this is exactly when I need to ask. Anything will help. If you can't donate, prayers are much appreciated too. Love y'all. ✌️
